Microsoft says clips recorded using Xbox Game Bar may have audio synchronization problems, especially when using the "last 30 seconds of recording" feature. Interestingly, this error Bug not only affects Xbox Game Bar, but Microsoft says video recording applications that use the same underlying Windows library and API may also be affected.

Microsoft believes that the audio synchronization error Bug in Windows 11 2022 update (22H2) is serious enough to prevent the release upgrade. If the user has previously used Xbox Game Bar's recording feature, the Windows 11 2022 update may not be available until Microsoft provides a permanent fix.

CTOnews.com has learned that users who are already using the latest version of Windows 11 can solve this problem by downloading KB5018496 cumulative updates, which will be pushed to all users later this month and remove upgrade barriers for affected players to upgrade their Windows 11 systems to the latest version. KB5018496 also brings a redesigned notification area and a hidden "compact taskbar" for Windows 11 2022 update users.

Microsoft said the issue only affected Windows 11 2022 updates, so Windows 10 game users should not be affected. According to Valve, a considerable number of users can rest assured that only 23% of Steam users are using Windows 11.
