2022 Hurun Rich list released: Zhong Yiming is once again the richest man in China, with Zhang Yiming and Zeng Yuqun ranking second and third respectively.
CTOnews.com November 8 news, today Hurun Research Institute released the "2022 Hurun Rich list." Zhong Kui, a 68-year-old Zhejiang businessman from Nong Fushan Spring, has a wealth increase of 65 billion yuan over last year, becoming the richest man in China for the second time with 455 billion yuan. Zhong Kui has set a record for the richest man in China in more than 20 years.
CTOnews.com learned that the byte-beating 39-year-old Zhang Yiming's wealth dropped 95 billion yuan from last year, ranking second with 245 billion yuan. The wealth of Zeng Yuqun, 54, in the Ningde era was 90 billion yuan lower than last year, ranking third with 230 billion yuan. NetEase's 51-year-old Ding Lei's wealth rose 14% to 195 billion yuan from last year, rising eight places to sixth, while Muyuan's Qin Yinglin and Qian Ying's wealth increased 9% to 185 billion yuan from last year, rising seven places to eighth.
A total of 1305 entrepreneurs with personal wealth of more than 5 billion yuan were on the list this year, down 11 percent from last year, according to the list. Of these, 1121 live in mainland China (137cities), 157in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan (90 in Hong Kong and 67 in Taiwan), and 27 live outside China (15 in the United States, 9 in Singapore, 2 in the UK and 1 in Dubai).
The total wealth of entrepreneurs on the list fell 18% from last year to 24.5 trillion yuan. Only 411 entrepreneurs have increased their wealth compared with last year, of which 133 are new. The wealth of 1187 entrepreneurs has shrunk or remained the same from last year, of which 293 failed this year.
Industrial products, real estate, health, consumer goods and food and beverages are the top five sources of wealth for entrepreneurs on the list. The top three cities with the highest concentration of entrepreneurs on the list are Beijing, Shenzhen and Shanghai, followed by Hong Kong and Hangzhou. The average age is 58 years old, 2 years older than last year.
