According to CTOnews.com news on November 8, Activision Blizzard today released its results for the third quarter of fiscal 2022, which also mentioned some possible future problems with Blizzard's domestic business in China.

Blizzard and NetEase's agreement expires in January 2023. Blizzard officials say they are discussing renewing these agreements, but may not be able to reach a mutually satisfactory agreement in the end. However, players do not have to worry about the national service of Diablo: immortality, as it operates under a separate long-term agreement.

CTOnews.com learned that the current license agreement between Blizzard and NetEase covers the release of a number of Blizzard games in China, and Blizzard also mentioned that these agreements accounted for about 3% of Activision Blizzard's combined net revenue in 2021.

Activision Blizzard reported third-quarter net revenue of $1.782 billion, compared with $2.07 billion in the same period last year; net booked income (net bookins) was $1.83 billion, compared with $1.88 billion in the same period last year, down 3 per cent from a year earlier, excluding currency changes. Net profit was $435 million, down 32 per cent from $639 million in the same period last year. In addition, Activision Blizzard had a total of 368 million monthly active users this quarter.
