Vivek Mahajan, Fujitsu's chief technology officer, said at a news conference on Tuesday that Fujitsu plans to design its own 2-nanometer advanced semiconductors and entrust wafer foundry leader TSMC to produce them, the Nippon Keizai Shimbun reported.

According to the report, Fujitsu aims to complete an energy-efficient central processing unit (CPU) equipped with the chip by 2026 at the earliest.
