The free registration of national top-level domain names in China reduces the fees for applying for and using IPv6 addresses, promotes the national top-level domain name registrars to provide small and medium-sized enterprises with more favorable Internet application services such as hosts, stations and mailboxes, reduces the fees for Internet basic resources application of small and medium-sized enterprises, lowers the threshold for digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, and assists them in their digital transformation.

In June this year, China Institute of Information and Communication released the Internet Domain name Industry Quarterly report (first quarter of 2022), saying that as of December 2021, the global and Chinese domain name registration markets were 356 million and more than 3600 million respectively, and the number of active domain names visited by Chinese users reached 51.896 million, concentrated in the top-level domains of ".com", ".CN" and ".NET".
