CTOnews.com November 10, according to the Taiwan media Central News Agency, iPhone 14 generation factory Pegatron today announced its results for the third quarter of 2022. Data show that Pegatron's combined revenue in the third quarter of this year was about NT $352.867 billion (about 80.454 billion yuan), an increase of 24.4% month-on-month and 9.3% year-on-year, mainly due to better demand for shipments of information products and communications products.

During the reporting period, Pegatron realized an after-tax net profit of about NT $5.265 billion (about RMB 1.2 billion), an increase of 69% month-on-month and 97.3% year-on-year, and operating profit of NT $7.632 billion (about RMB 1.74 billion), an increase of 16.5% over the previous month and an increase of 82.8% over the same period last year. Non-industry income was 1.239 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 282 million yuan), an increase of 4.2 times month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 95.1%.

In terms of profit margin, Pegatron's gross profit margin in the third quarter of this year was 4.6%, a decrease of 0.5 percentage points from the previous month, an increase of 1 percentage point over the same period last year, and an operating profit rate of 2.2%, a decrease of 0.1 percentage points from a month earlier, an increase of 0.9 percentage points over the same period last year.

CTOnews.com learned that Pegatron said that revenue from information products and communications products rose 4 per cent and 41 per cent respectively in the third quarter of this year, while revenue from consumer electronics was the same as in the second quarter.

Compared with the same period last year, Pegatron's revenue from consumer electronics and communications products increased by 18 per cent and 8 per cent respectively in the third quarter compared with the same period last year, while revenue from information products fell 7 per cent in the third quarter compared with the same period last year.
