CTOnews.com, Nov. 12, Google is likely to make a different choice than Apple's refusal to equip the basic iPhone with a high screen refresh.

CTOnews.com learned that last year's Google Pixel 6a was complained about the lack of high screen brushing, and the latest details show that the upcoming Pixel 7a will be equipped with a 90Hz screen, support for wireless charging, and will use a new set of rear dual hardware.

Developer @ Kuba Wojciechowski says the 90Hz display is a new generation of 1080p panels developed by Samsung, while what he thought was the model prediction of Pixel 7 Ultra (code "Lynx") actually refers to Pixel 7a.

Google Pixel 7a is said to use two new image sensors: an IMX787 wide-angle lens and an IMX712 ultra-wide-angle lens, a major upgrade from the existing IMX363. Compared with "Pixel 22 Premium" on Pixel 7 / Pro, its camera is codenamed "Pixel 22 Mid-range".

Wojciechowski believes this could make the Pixel 7a one of the best mid-range smartphones in 2023.

It was previously reported that the Pixel 7a would support wireless charging, but only 5W, which has now been reconfirmed.

In addition, he said the Pixel 7a may be the first mid-range model to use Google's Tensor chip and will also run Qualcomm's WCN6740 chip (Wi-Fi / Bluetooth), which has been dependent on Broadcom solutions on devices such as Google's Pixel 6 series and Pixel 7.

There is no definite information on pricing, but he thinks Google may maintain the previous generation of pricing.
