Apple MacBook contract manufacturer Quanta: laptop demand is expected to decline slightly in 2023

Looking ahead to 2023, Quanta said that there is still much uncertainty about laptop demand in 2023, and it is still a little early to predict that notebook computers will continue to decline in 2023.

At the same time, Quanta predicts that the decline in laptops in 2023 will not be the same as in 2022, and is expected to decline slightly in 2023.

In terms of server and electric vehicle-related products, Quanta said it continued to grow in 2023, especially electric vehicle-related products, because of its low base period and low share of revenue, with the largest increase in 2023, followed by servers, followed by laptops.

CTOnews.com learned that Quanta announced its third-quarter 2022 results on November 11, with an after-tax net profit of 9.254 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 2.11 billion yuan) in the third quarter, an increase of 133.51 percent month-on-month and a decrease of 1.26 percent over the same period last year. The cumulative after-tax net profit in the first three quarters of this year reached 19.971 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 4.553 billion yuan), down 18.1 percent from the same period last year.
