Sources say Google will display advertising apps in Play store searches

But people at 9To5Google say clicking on the search box on the 33.0.17-21 version of Google's Play Store app will show three apps that have not been searched or interacted with and are all games with icons.

In addition, the previous search results will not appear until the user has typed a letter in the search box using the keyboard. Past queries will appear first, followed by suggestions for automatic completion.

It is not clear whether the apps appear in the Play store search box for a fee.
