CTOnews.com learned that Apple's standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models released in September have a detachable design on the back glass to facilitate subsequent repairs. This is also the first model that can be opened from the front and back since the iPhone 4S. This change does not extend to the iPhone 14 Pro models, which can only be opened from the front.

In the United States, the cost of replacing any iPhone 14 battery at the Apple Store is $99, compared with $69 for previous models. Customers with AppleCare + can replace the iPhone battery free of charge, but only if the battery capacity is less than 80% of the original capacity.
