After Bezos, his girlfriend plans to go into space in 2023

Beijing, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) Amazon founder Jeff Bezos (Jeff Bezos) went into space for the first time last year aboard his company's rocket, and now it's his girlfriend's turn.

Lauren S á nchez, the girlfriend of Bezos and his girlfriend Sanchez, said in an interview published on Monday that she planned to go to space sometime in 2023. In January 2019, Sanchez and Bezos made their relationship public.

Sanchez has not only worked as a journalist and anchor, but also a trained helicopter pilot. She founded an aerial photography and production company called Black Ops Aviation in 2016. This is the first aerial photography and production company owned and operated by women. 'in life, he and Bezos take turns driving, 'she said in an interview.

Sanchez did not specify who she would go into space with, but first ruled out Bezos, saying simply that "a group of great women" would go with her.

In July 2021, Bezos participated in the first manned space mission of his space company Blue Origin and successfully went into space. Flying with him at that time were his brother Mark, the then 82-year-old female astronaut Wally Funk and Dutch teenager Oliver Damon.

At the same time, Bezos promised in an interview to donate most of his $124 billion fortune in his lifetime. In recent years, he has come under fire for not signing the donation Pledge, signed by some of the world's richest people who promise to donate most of their wealth to charity. Bezos's ex-wife Mackenzie MacKenzie Scott signed the donation pledge in 2019 and has donated more than $12 billion since then.

In addition, Bezos responded to rumors that he would buy the commander of the American football team in Washington. "Yes, I heard the rumor," he said. "I grew up in Houston, Texas, and I played rugby when I was a kid. It's my favorite sport. So we just have to wait and see."
