CTOnews.com, November 15, in order to provide a more unified interactive experience, Microsoft launched a new round of improvements to the mobile Office application last month. Of course, new features will be introduced in this improvement, but some redundant or less frequently used functions will also be cut. Microsoft officially announced today that two features will be removed from the mobile Office by the end of this year.

Transfer Files

This feature allows you to transfer files between your Office application and your computer. This process involves opening the URL and scanning the QR code to pair the two devices and transmit the content. Microsoft thinks this can be easily replaced by OneDrive, which integrates "seamlessly" into Office so that you can access shared content on any device. As a result, Transfer Files will retire on December 31, 2022, and previously transferred files will not be affected.

Share Nearby

As the name implies, this allows content to be shared between nearby Android devices. However, Microsoft believes that this capability does not meet all of its customers' current content sharing needs. As a result, it will retire on December 31, 2022, and previously shared files will not be affected.
