Shanghai: the first batch of multi-functional ocean monitoring lights supporting Beidou were successfully put into operation.
CTOnews.com, November 17, according to the official website of the Ministry of Transport, a few days ago, six multi-functional ocean monitoring lights supporting Beidou were installed in Shanghai Port, which completed the chart and tide chart drawing, and the lights were successfully put into use.
It is understood that six multi-functional navigation marks are located on the north bank of Hangzhou Bay in Shanghai Port and outside the Yangtze River Estuary, and each light float is equipped with current measuring equipment, using Beidou, AIS and other technologies to collect and transmit monitoring data. After a year of data collection and analysis, according to the time series algorithm, the chart and tidal current chart is drawn.
Compared with the traditional method, using new technologies such as Beidou, the chart and tidal current chart drawn from the collected data is more accurate and reliable, which can greatly reduce the error caused by occasional extreme weather and monthly tidal current differences, and has obvious advantages in automation and timeliness. In the future, Beidou will continue to assist the data transmission of multi-functional navigation marks and the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center.
CTOnews.com learned that the Beidou satellite system is the third mature global satellite navigation system independently developed by China after GPS of the United States and GLONASS of Russia. On July 31, 2020, the Beidou-3 global satellite navigation system was officially launched. The global positioning accuracy of Beidou 3 is better than 10 meters, the speed measurement accuracy is better than 0.2 meters per second, the timing accuracy is better than 20 nanoseconds, and the service availability is better than 99 percent.
According to CCTV news, with the opening of the Beidou 3 global system, China's space and ground infrastructure have relatively perfect service capacity, and have basically formed a Beidou industrial application system.
At present, the Beidou-3 in-orbit satellite, together with the original extended service Beidou II, has a total of 45 satellites in orbit, and it is planned to launch three to five satellites next year to further strengthen the constellation and ensure the stable operation of the system.
