Audio brand Sonos will launch high-end headphones next year against Apple's AirPods Max, priced at more than $300.
CTOnews.com November 18 news, according to informed sources, audio manufacturer Sonos is planning to launch a high-end wireless headset. The over-the-ear wireless headset is still in early development and could be launched next year with a price tag of more than $300, the person said.
CTOnews.com understands that Sonos has focused on multi-room audio systems over the past few years. As early as 2019, Bloomberg reported that Sonos would expand its new audio product category, and headphones were one of them.
Foreign technology media 9to5Mac believes that Sonos 'headphones may sell audio fidelity and integrate into Sonos' existing ecosystem. How headphones, portable speakers and home audio work together is an interesting question.
In an interview with The Verge, Sonos CEO Patrick Spence hinted that the company would launch new products in 2023.
Spence said at Sonos 'earnings conference on Wednesday: "While we are very cautious about announcing product roadmaps, we will launch four new products, one of which will be announced in fiscal 2023." He stressed that in the long run, the new category will help diversify Sonos 'business.
