Samsung 990 Pro flagship SSD is the first seller today: nominal speed up to 7450 MB/s,1TB version 1099 yuan

CTOnews.com November 18 news, Samsung officially announced the Samsung 990 PRO series of solid-state drives officially launched! 1099 yuan for 1TB version and 2299 yuan for 2TB version.

CTOnews.com learned that Samsung's 990 Pro PCIe 4.0 SSD was released in August this year. Samsung said the 990 PRO series uses new V-NAND technology and a new self-developed controller to provide ultra-high speed in the PCIe 4.0 interface.

The data show that the sequential read and write speed of Samsung 990 Pro SSD is 7450 MB/s and 6900MB/s respectively, and the random read and write speed is 1400K and 1550K IOPS, respectively. Compared with 980 PRO, the random read and write performance of 990 PRO is improved by 55%.

In addition, Samsung's newly designed controller greatly improves the energy efficiency of the SSD by up to 50% compared with the 980 PRO. It also adds a nickel coating to the controller and uses a label heat sink on the hard disk to ensure reliable heat management.
