Sources say Samsung's Exynos 2300 chip will be equipped with a dedicated core to make OneUI run more smoothly.

CTOnews.com, Nov. 18, many sources indicate that Samsung's upcoming Galaxy 23 series will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip instead of its own Exynos processor. In the latest revelations, foreign netizens @ sto_denebkaitos shared relevant information about Exynos 2300 chips.

CTOnews.com learned that the Exynos 2300 was designed with nine cores, including four high-performance CPU cores and four low-power cores, as well as a special core that was optimized for OneUI usage scenarios.

The source said that this special core is equipped with an architecture similar to Cortex-M, mainly to ensure the smooth operation of the OneUI system. Currently, Exynos 2300's multicore CPU score in GeekBench is 4500.

Another source through the grapevine @ OreXda said that Samsung started building a new team of engineers as early as 2020, hoping to build a new processor from scratch.

It is reported that the team has gradually built a framework during the development of Exynos 2100, and the first chip designed by the team is expected to be released in 2025. Samsung is working with AMD and Google to develop the chip, which is probably the most stable and high-performance chip in Galaxy smartphones.
