Elizabeth Elizabeth Holmes's Theranos fraud case will be sentenced today
CTOnews.com Former Silicon Valley star Elizabeth Holmes has arrived at a federal courthouse in San Jose to receive a final ruling from the court. Federal prosecutors are seeking a 15-year prison sentence and an $800 million fine, calling her crimes "the largest amount of white-collar crime ever seen in Silicon Valley or anywhere else," AP reported.
Holmes 'lawyer argued, however, that since her actions did not pose a danger to the equipment, he argued that no imprisonment should be accepted. CTOnews.com has learned that Apple recently signed director Adam McKay to produce an original series about the event, but that Jennifer Lawrence, the lead actress, no longer seems to want to continue after seeing Amanda Seyfried as Elizabeth Holmes in Hulu's "Dropouts."
