CTOnews.com, November 20 (Xinhua) according to the official account of the Yangtze River Delta Railway, the Yunguanshan tunnel of the Chihuang high-speed railway was opened on November 18. This is the 28th tunnel connected by the Chihuang high-speed railway, marking a breakthrough in the construction of the Chihuang high-speed railway and promoting the completion and opening process of the whole line.

CTOnews.com learned that the new Chihuang high-speed railway line is about 125km long and has a designed speed of 350km per hour, from Chizhou Station in Anhui Province to Huangshan North Station. The Yunguanshan tunnel, which runs through this time, is located in Qingyang County, Chizhou City, with a total length of 2799.5 meters.

Chihuang high-speed railway is an important part of the Wuhan-Hangzhou high-speed railway, with five stations, including Chizhou Station, Jiuhuashan Station, Huangshan West Station, Qixian East Station and Huangshan North Station.

The railway department said that when the Chihuang high-speed railway is completed and opened to traffic, it will become a golden tourism route connecting the core scenic spots of two mountains and one lake in southern Anhui (Jiuhua Mountain, Huangshan and Taiping Lake). It is of great significance to improve the layout of the regional railway network, speed up the construction of the international cultural tourism demonstration zone in southern Anhui, and promote coordinated economic and social development along the route.
