CTOnews.com November 21, a few months ago, Samsung released an One UI 4.1.1 update based on Android 12L for Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. However, this update is limited to the Wi-Fi version of the tablet. Now Samsung has finally released the Android 12L update for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite LTE version.

The Android 12L (One UI 4.1.1) update for Galaxy Tab S6 Lite for LTE is being launched in India. Other countries may get this update in the next few days. The firmware version of the new software is P619XXU1AVJ2. However, the September 2022 security patch is still in use.

Galaxy Tab S6 Lite LTE users in India can now download One UI 4.1.1 updates based on Android 12L by navigating to Settings-Software updates and clicking "download and install".

What's new in the Android 12L update for Galaxy Tab S6 Lite? This update brings the Android 12L taskbar to Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. It makes multitasking easy. Users can drag and drop the application icon on either side of the screen to start multitasking side by side. Users can also use App handles (in the top center part of the application window) to minimize, maximize, or open the application in a pop-up view. You can also create application pairs and pin them to the taskbar.

Samsung has also added a double-finger swipe gesture to open a side-by-side multitasking view, CTOnews.com learned. You can now see the name of the application on the Edge panel. With the new update, users can extract text from images and screenshots, thanks to Bixby Vision OCR. This feature can be used in built-in cameras, galleries and Samsung keyboard applications. One UI 4.1.1 also makes recommendations for action on such copied texts. For example, if the extracted text is a phone number, the software displays the call option directly.

The latest firmware also brings separate call background settings for each contact. Search capabilities in One UI and built-in applications have been greatly improved. The new software also replaces Google Duo with Google Meet. The Samsung keyboard provides the ability to reschedule buttons for emoticons, stickers and other expressions. It also allows you to enter Kaomojis directly.

In Samsung's Internet web browser, users can drag and drop bookmarks in folders. For lock screens, you can create and edit wallpaper sets. Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite will be updated with One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 sometime in the first quarter of 2023.
