Apple's 507-page lawsuit has revealed that it accuses Corellium of manufacturing iOS virtualization tools for malicious purposes

CTOnews.com, Nov. 22 (Xinhua)-- Wired recently disclosed a 507-page lawsuit from Apple, showing that Corellium's original intention to create a virtual iOS tool was malicious. The company sells the software to spyware and malware distributors, including NSO Group, the maker of well-known cracking software Pegasus.

In the lawsuit, Apple argued that the virtual iOS tool created by Corellium had a malicious purpose and sold it to the NSO Group (its Pegasus tool can be used to monitor social activists, journalists and others), and so on. It is mentioned in the document that NSO Group tried the tool in advance as early as 2019.

CTOnews.com learned that Apple said in the document: "instead of helping to fix the vulnerability, Corellium encourages its users to sell any information found on the open market to the highest bidder." Apple believes that this fact is based on Corellium's emphasis on "good people". Corellium also sold its software to Paragon in 2019, which is considered to be a supplier of surveillance technology to governments around the world, the document said.

Corellium also supplies software to DarkMatter, a network security company. DarkMatter, which has been shut down, was used by the UAE government to monitor human rights activists and journalists.
