CNNC said that its core indicators are significantly better than the design requirements and have the conditions for mass manufacturing. This marks China's comprehensive breakthrough in the key technology of "ITER Enhanced Heat Load First Wall" and the continuous leadership of this core technology.

According to introduction, Southwest Institute of Physics of Nuclear Industry of CNNC undertook the development of ITER enhanced thermal load first wall full size prototype parts. After successfully preparing enhanced thermal load finger parts in batches, it cooperated with Guizhou Aerospace Xinli Science and Technology Co., Ltd. to solve a series of technical problems and successfully completed the welding assembly of parts.
