According to Gartner's latest forecast, global end-user spending on public cloud services is expected to reach $591.8 billion in 2023, up 20.7% from $490.3 billion in 2022 and higher than the 18.8% growth forecast in 2022.

Gartner expects growth in all market segments in 2023, with end-user spending on infrastructure as a service (IaaS) expected to grow by 29.8% in 2023.

Given staffing challenges and emphasis on protecting profit margins, Gartner expects platform as a service (PaaS) and software as a service (SaaS) to be the most affected by inflation, but these two market segments will continue to grow. Gartner predicts that PaaS will grow by 23.2% in 2023 and SaaS will grow by 16.8%.
