CTOnews.com, November 23 (Xinhua)-- according to a report released by market research firm CyberMedia Research in the third quarter of 2022 (July-September), Samsung tablets performed well in the Indian market, with a market share of 28% and an 83% month-on-month increase.

The report points out that shipments of the Indian tablet market grew by 22% month-on-month in the third quarter of 2022, with full-year growth expected to be between 10% and 15%. According to CyberMedia Research, "the Indian tablet market grew by 22% quarter-on-quarter, with 5G tablets showing a significant upward trend." Demand for tablets with 8-inch screens is on the rise, accounting for 43% of total shipments in India.

CTOnews.com learned that Samsung topped the list with a 28% market share, followed by Lenovo and Apple with 26% and 19%, respectively. For Wi-Fi models, Samsung's Galaxy Tab A8 is preferred for Indian consumers, and Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is preferred for cellular network models, accounting for 25 per cent and 18 per cent of the total market share, respectively. Samsung, the most popular brand, achieved 83% month-on-month growth in the third quarter of 2022. Lenovo ranks second in the region because of its business and partnerships.
