CTOnews.com, August 15, Tesla CEO Elon Musk today posted a message on Weibo congratulating Tesla on the launch of the 1 million vehicle of the Shanghai Super Factory.

At noon, Tao Lin, vice president of foreign affairs of Tesla, forwarded Weibo, saying, "in more than two years, not only Tesla, but also China's new energy vehicle industry has made great development. I pay tribute to the Shanghai factory team made up of 99.9% Chinese; thanks to all partners, the localization rate of Tesla's supply chain has exceeded 95%."

The Tesla Shanghai Super Factory delivered more than 323000 cars to Tesla users worldwide between the beginning of 2022 and July 2022, according to data released by the Federation of passengers in early August this year. Of these, about 206000 vehicles were delivered in the domestic market and more than 100000 in overseas markets.

Tesla's second-quarter results show that among Tesla's many super-factories in the world, the Shanghai super-factory has the highest capacity, with an annual capacity of 750000 vehicles. The second place is the California super factory, with an annual production capacity of about 650000 vehicles. As the Berlin and Texas factories have not been built for a long time, their annual production capacity is only about 250000 vehicles.

Musk congratulates: Tesla Shanghai Factory has an automobile output of 1 million vehicles, with a total global output of more than 3 million.
