In the first seven months of this year, the import of integrated circuits in Jiangsu Province was 279.89 billion yuan, an increase of 17.9% over the same period last year.

According to information released by Nanjing Customs, Jiangsu Province's imports and exports totaled 3.14 trillion yuan in the first seven months of 2022, an increase of 11.5 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 13.3 percent of the country's total import and export value. Of this total, exports totaled 1.99 trillion yuan, up 14.6 percent, and imports totaled 1.15 trillion yuan, up 6.6 percent.

In the first seven months, Jiangsu's exports of mechanical and electrical products totaled 1.3 trillion yuan, an increase of 13.5 percent, accounting for 65.4 percent of Jiangsu's total export value. Of these, integrated circuits, solar cells, mobile phones and lithium-ion batteries exported 152.92 billion yuan, 60.8 billion yuan, 60.13 billion yuan and 36.45 billion yuan respectively, up 21.2%, 84.6%, 121.6% and 71.9% respectively.

Imports of mechanical and electrical products maintained a relatively rapid growth. In the first seven months, imports of mechanical and electrical products in Jiangsu Province totaled 644.91 billion yuan, up 8.1 percent, accounting for 56.1 percent of the total import value of Jiangsu Province, of which integrated circuit imports totaled 279.89 billion yuan, up 17.9 percent, and semiconductor manufacturing equipment imports totaled 23.76 billion yuan, up 44.1 percent.
