According to foreign media reports on August 16, like Apple, Tesla, which developed from Silicon Valley, has the largest source of revenue from the US domestic market, and Tesla's sales of electric vehicles in the US market are also much higher than those in other markets.

The latest data from the agency show that Tesla, who was founded less than 20 years ago, has begun to dominate the US luxury car market, with more new registrations in the US market in the first half of this year than BMW, Mercedes-Benz and other luxury carmakers.

According to data from research institutions, 228989 Tesla electric vehicles were newly registered in the US market in the first half of this year, an increase of 86458 from 142531 in the same period last year and an increase of nearly 61 per cent over the same period last year.

The number of new registrations in the US market in the first half of the year was second only to Tesla, with 157838 registered, down from 180783 in the same period last year and down 13 per cent from a year earlier.

Other brands in the top 10 are Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Cadillac, Acura, Volvo, Lincoln and Porsche. Lexus newly registered 133616 vehicles, Mercedes-Benz 133520 new registrations, other brands no more than 100000.

Like BMW, the eight luxury carmakers that entered the top 10 in the US market in the first half of the year had fewer new registrations than in the same period last year. Among them, Lexus fell 19% year-on-year, Mercedes-Benz fell 14%.
