FAW Jiefang: the first pre-production self-driving heavy truck J7 order delivery in China
On August 17, FAW Jiefang issued an announcement saying that Rongqing Logistics automatic driving heavy truck delivery ceremony was held on August 16 in Rongqing Taicang Smart Park. It is worth mentioning that the batch delivery of FAW Jiefang J7 super truck is the first batch of order delivery of automatic driving heavy truck for pre-assembly mass production in China, which has important milestone significance for the landing of FAW Jiefang "Columbus Intelligent Logistics Open Plan."
The J7 super truck delivered this time is the world's first mass-production intelligent driving heavy truck, specially built for trunk express and express market, focusing on safety, fuel economy and comfort. In terms of safety, the whole vehicle sensing equipment adopts three-layer detection redundancy, and applies technologies such as front fusion sensing, obstacle trajectory prediction, dynamic traffic flow planning, etc. to bring better driving experience and driving safety for users; In terms of fuel saving, intelligent dynamic planning fuel saving function significantly improves fuel saving level compared with traditional manual driving; In terms of comfort, super navigation automatic driving system can realize full-speed automatic cruise and automatic lane change of expressway, completely liberating driver's feet.
FAW Jiefang has laid out four routes of "new four modernizations" of automobile industry since it launched "Columbus Smart Logistics Opening Plan" in 2019, completed the reserve of light, medium, heavy and passenger platform products in the field of automatic driving, and took the lead in realizing commercial operation of port, sanitation, trunk line and other scenarios.
According to the trial operation data report released at the delivery ceremony, since the launch of Rongqing Logistics User Use Test in October 2021, the trial operation mileage of mass-production automatic driving J7 super truck has exceeded 90000 kilometers, the automatic driving proportion is as high as 96.7%, the fuel saving amount can reach 10% compared with manual driving, and remarkable achievements have been made in the core indicators of trunk logistics transportation such as vehicle safety, driving comfort and driver fatigue alleviation.
