On the morning of November 24, Beijing time, the German Joint Administration of Enterprises (German cartel office) was worried that Meta would monopolize the VR market. Meta responded to the concern by announcing that VR Touxian can be used even without a Facebook account.

The German Joint Administration of Enterprises has been trying to curb the market influence of digital companies, and Meta, which is the focus of the agency, said in May that Meta has a significant influence on cross-market competition.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Authority said Meta will allow users to use VR devices through separate Meta accounts. Quest 2 will soon be sold in Germany, and Meta's promise clears the way for sales. The Meta rules also apply to the latest Quest Pro headers.

Andreas Andreas Mundt, chairman of the Authority, once pointed out on social media: "if only Facebook or Instagram members can use VR headers, then the competition between the two major areas (that is, VR and social media) will be hurt." Meta dominates both in the social media market and in the growing VR market.

Although Meta allows users to log in through Meta accounts, the German Joint Enterprise Administration will remain vigilant and will closely monitor the design of user options and focus on the aggregation and processing of Meta user data in the future.
