On November 24, according to foreign media reports, Infineon, a supplier of automotive semiconductor solutions, will cooperate with Israeli automotive technology company REE Automotive to promote the development of green smart travel industry.

According to reports, the REE modular electric vehicle platform developed by REE Automotive has laid the foundation for the development of all kinds of electric vehicles, such as self-driving taxis, commercial trucks, electric passenger buses and so on.

In addition to Infineon, REE Automotive has partnered with Toyota subsidiaries Hino and American Axle, Canadian supplier Magna, French self-driving ferry maker Navya, and EAVX, a new subsidiary of US commercial vehicle body maker JP Poindexter.

Infineon was officially established in Munich, Germany on April 1, 1999. It is one of the semiconductor companies. Its predecessor is the semiconductor division of Siemens Group, which was independent in 1999 and listed in 2000.

The company is at the heart of the industry's transition to green travel and works with many established Tier 1 automakers, original equipment manufacturers and new car makers.

In October, Infineon and VinFast, Vietnam's first global smart electric car maker, announced an expanded partnership. The two companies will set up a Joint Application capability Center (VinFast-Infineon Competence Center,VICC) focusing on electric vehicles in Hanoi to help VinFast develop solutions for smart cars of the future.
