Apple's payment service Apple Pay is about to launch in South Korea.
CTOnews.com November 25 news, quoted foreign technology media iMore reported that Apple Pay is expected to obtain approval from South Korean regulatory authorities in recent days, launched in the country. The South Korean Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) is reviewing the startup terms of Apple Pay submitted by the company, and Hyundai Card is ready to support Apple Pay.
The approval process could be completed as soon as this month, but delays to next month could not be ruled out depending on the progress of the review, the report said. CTOnews.com learned that Hyundai Card, a financial division of Hyundai Motors, a South Korean car company, is said to have established a one-year partnership with Apple to become Apple Pay's exclusive operator in South Korea before other companies can follow suit.
As of press time, Apple and Hyundai Card have not issued statements.
TechCrunch reported that South Korea is "one of the fastest growing countries in the world for cashless services," but it does not currently support Apple Pay, and friend Google has not brought Google Pay services to South Korea.
