CTOnews.com, November 25, according to the website of the State Energy Group, Guodian Yunnan New Energy Kunming Luoyuwan 44.6MW photovoltaic project was put on record on November 21.

The project is located in Luoyuwan International Trade City, Guandu District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province. Distributed photovoltaic panels are planned to be installed on the roofs and parking areas of Luoyuwan Phase I, Phase II and Phase III, with a total installed scale of 44.6 MW. The development and construction mode of "self-generation and self-use, residual power grid" is adopted.

CTOnews.com learned that the State Energy Group said that when completed, the project will provide about 56 million kilowatt hours of clean electricity per year, saving about 11200 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 43600 tons per year compared with traditional thermal power companies.

According to the National Energy Administration, by the end of October, the country's cumulative installed power generation capacity was about 2.5 billion kilowatts, an increase of 8.3 percent over the same period last year. Of this total, the installed capacity of solar power generation is about 360 million kilowatts, an increase of 29.2 percent over the same period last year.
