The working current of the auxiliary electric heater is too large, Hyundai recalls some imported Chiasoranto cars.

CTOnews.com, November 25, according to the website of the State Administration of Market Supervision, Hyundai Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. recently filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products.

CTOnews.com learned that Hyundai Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. has decided to recall a total of 13954 imported Kia Solanto 2.2L diesel vehicles manufactured from September 11, 2012 to August 19, 2014.

Due to the excessive working current of the auxiliary electric heater (PTC heater) in some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the fixed position of the connector harness is disadvantageous to the vibration, and the connector part may be damaged when running for a long time, and in serious cases, the auxiliary electric heater may catch fire, which may cause safety risks.

Hyundai Automobile (China) Investment Co., Ltd. will replace the auxiliary electric heater relay and re-fix the auxiliary electric heater wire harness for the vehicles within the recall area free of charge through the authorized maintenance station; if the auxiliary electric heater connector is damaged, the auxiliary electric heater assembly will be replaced free of charge to eliminate safety risks.
