In commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the release of 007, omega launched two themed seahorse diving 300m watches
CTOnews.com, November 25 (Xinhua)-- to mark the 60th anniversary of the release of the "James Bond" series, Omega recently launched two 60th anniversary "007" themed seahorse diving 300m watches, the back of which pays tribute to Bond's opening appearance in the movie.
In the film, James Bond (James Bond) is a well-known agent of MI6, the character is also very keen on certain brands. For example, Bond likes Aston Martin cars very much, and his favorite is the classic DB5. From "GoldenEye" starring Pierce Brosnan in 1995 to Casino Royale in 2006, 007 wore only omega watches, especially the company's seahorse diving 300m series.
CTOnews.com learned that Omega's 60th anniversary limited edition watch, designed by BlogtoWatch, combines the elements of the original seahorse diving 300m from the Golden Eye and No Time To Die, and combines different elements of the James Bond movie.
There is a sapphire glass window on the back of the watch, which shows the iconic opening animation of the Bond film, and the silhouette of the characters can be seen moving on the screen. But there is no LCD or OLED screen. The seahorse 300m diving watch is a purely mechanical watch, so in order to animate, omega used the moire effect, the interference pattern of the spiral lines on the rotating disc, to show the order of the simple four-frame animation in which Bond walked in.
The 60th anniversary limited edition of the 007-themed seahorse diving 300m watches sell for $7600 (about 54340 yuan), which is clearly on the high side for most Bond fans.
