So far, the first pilot project of grain energy supply innovation model with the integration of photovoltaic power generation and staple grain (rice) production has achieved phased results.

CTOnews.com learned that the project, located in Xinxing Village and Gemu Village, Luan Town, Hengzhou City, Nanning City, Guangxi, meets the rice planting conditions through the transformation of dry land of non-basic farmland. The total installed capacity of the project is 30.16 megawatts and covers an area of about 500 mu. The test field is divided into core test area and contrast test area.

According to reports, the project uses a new type of LED light supply lamp, which combines photovoltaic power generation with rice cultivation to ensure grain production, improve the comprehensive utilization rate and output rate of land, enhance the creation of new cultivated land and the protection of farmland ecological environment, and create a new mode of sustainable land use. A new type of LED light supplement equipment is arranged on the back panel of photovoltaic module to reduce the influence of photovoltaic module shadow on rice growth and ensure rice yield.
