Old Wear OS 2 watches are no longer supported, Google releases a new version of Google Keep

CTOnews.com November 25 news, Google in recent months continue to improve the Wear OS version of the Keep application, integration of Material You elements, redesign of tiles and so on. In the latest 5.22.452.00.97 update, the device requirements have been upgraded to Android 11 and above. This means older watches that still run Wear OS 2 will no longer support Google Keep apps.

Wear OS 2 older watches visit the Play Store and search Google Keep and the app doesn't show up. Access from web/mobile and view the "Compatibility of your active device" list and find that the app is "incompatible with your device."

CTOnews.com has learned that the official Google apps still supported on Wear OS 2 include Google, Gboard, Fit, Wallet, Messages, Camera, Clock, Wear OS by Google Smartwatch and YouTube Music. Wear OS 2 watches that already have Google Keep installed will not be affected, but may not receive updates later.
