Amap launches barrier-free wheelchair navigation function

Wheelchair Navigation is specially developed for special travel needs, on the basis of digitizing barrier-free facilities, coupled with corresponding route planning and navigation strategies to help wheelchair travelers alleviate their fear of difficulties and anxiety.

CTOnews.com learned that in addition to people with disabilities, elderly people with mobility difficulties, parents of strollers, people who travel in temporary wheelchairs and travel with heavy objects due to accidental injuries can also use "wheelchair navigation" in different scenes.

According to reports, "wheelchair navigation" at the same time open the "love feedback" entrance, each Amap user can easily feedback around the barrier-free facilities information, helping to improve the social barrier-free environment.

Since 2017, Amap has successively launched barrier-free bathrooms, barrier-free elevators and other information. The wheelchair navigation provides barrier-free route planning and navigation for the first time. In addition to Amap, Ali's 15 App have completed information accessibility transformation to better serve the elderly, people with disabilities and other digital vulnerable groups.

What's the difference between wheelchair navigation and ordinary navigation?
