CTOnews.com, November 27 (Xinhua)-- at 14:20 local time on the 26th, SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Dragon spacecraft from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida to transport supplies to the International Space Station and provide new scientific research.

Shortly after launch, Falcon 9 was successfully separated from the Dragon spacecraft, and the debuted B1076-1 booster successfully landed on an unmanned recycling ship in the Atlantic Ocean. It will be towed back to Canaveral Port in Florida in the next few days for renovation and reused in future missions.

According to reports, the spacecraft is expected to complete rendezvous and docking with the International Space Station at 7:30 local time on November 27. The ship's supplies include a new pair of solar panels, tomato seeds, food for astronauts and Thanksgiving gifts, weighing more than 7700 pounds.

If all goes well, the dragon spacecraft will stay at the International Space Station for 45 days, then return to Earth and land at one of the seven sites off the coast of Florida.

CTOnews.com learned that this was SpaceX's 26th commercial resupply mission (CRS-26) to the space station.

The next Falcon 9, launched from Florida, is scheduled to launch at around 3:30 EDT on Wednesday, November 30, from launch pad 40 at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Base. SpaceX will launch the HAKUTO-R M1 lunar rover for Japanese lunar exploration company ispace.
