CTOnews.com, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) according to the website of the National Satellite Meteorological Center of the China Meteorological Administration, China's two Fengyun meteorological "nova" data products are shared with global users.

The National Satellite Meteorological Center said that Fengyun 3e and Fengyun 4B and their ground application systems were put into operation on June 1 this year. After the operational operation, Fengyun 3 E and Fengyun 3 C and D are netted to provide complete global observation data for the numerical prediction model every 6 hours, which effectively improves the accuracy and timeliness of global numerical weather forecast. it is of great significance to improve the global earth observation system. Fengyun 4B and Fengyun 4A have realized a double-star network to further meet the service needs of China and the countries and regions along the "Belt and Road Initiative" for meteorological monitoring and forecasting, emergency disaster prevention and mitigation.

Recently, the China Meteorological Administration issued a plan for international data sharing between Fengyun 3e and Fengyun 4B. The program is based on "full sharing", strengthens the open sharing, application and promotion of Fengyun meteorological satellite data, encourages international users to use Fengyun meteorological satellite data, and further gives play to the important role of Fengyun meteorological satellite in economic and social development.

According to reports, global users can obtain data and products through various ways, including Fengyun Satellite data Center website, CMACast broadcast system, World Meteorological Organization Global Communication system and Fengyun Satellite Direct receiving system, as well as FY-3 preprocessing software package provided by China Meteorological Administration for FY-3E data direct receiving system. The China Meteorological Administration will continue to promote the international application and services of Fengyun meteorological satellites to contribute to meteorological disaster prevention and mitigation and climate change.

CTOnews.com learned that Fengyun 3e, which was successfully launched on July 5, 2021, is the world's first civil operational satellite in the morning and twilight orbit. Fengyun 4B, which was successfully launched on June 3, 2021, is the first operational satellite of the second generation geostationary orbit meteorological satellite in China, which is mainly used in the fields of weather analysis and forecast, environment and disaster monitoring.
