CTOnews.com, November 28, according to Yonhap news, South Korean President Yoon Sik-Yue attended the "Future Space / Cosmos Economic Roadmap Conference" held at a hotel in Gangnam, Seoul this afternoon, and officially released the "Future Cosmic Economic Development Blueprint", pointing out the vision of becoming a cosmic economic power in the next 20 years.
It is said that South Korea plans to successfully land on the moon and exploit lunar resources in 2032, 10 years later, and will land on Mars on its own in 2045, which marks the 100th anniversary of retrocession.
President Yin stressed: "countries with prospects for the universe in the future can dominate the world economy and solve the problems facing mankind."the dream of a cosmic power is not the distant future, but the opportunities and hopes that children and young people have."
President Yin also promised that "lunar resources and Mars bases will be given to the next generation" and that he will develop an autonomous launcher engine that can fly to the moon within five years while landing on Mars, and will land on the moon in 2032 and begin to exploit resources.
To this end, he put forward six major policy directions and support programs, including exploring the moon and Mars, leaping into a cosmic technological power, cultivating the cosmic industry, training cosmic talents, realizing cosmic security, and leading international assistance.
President Yin also said that a "Aerospace Agency" will be set up under the Ministry of Science and Technology Information and Communications, with experts and projects as the center, and the president will personally serve as chairman of the National Space Council.
