China Institute of Information and Communication: IMT-2030 (6G) Promotion Group carries out the work of "Global solicitation of key Technologies for 6G"
CTOnews.com November 29 news, China Academy of Information Technology announced today, in order to accelerate the promotion of 6G key technology research and innovation development, under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, IMT-2030 (6G) promotion group (hereinafter referred to as "promotion group") to organize and carry out "6G-oriented key technology global collection" work.
In terms of solicitation direction, refer to the IMT Technology Trend Report for 2030 and the Future issued by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), focus on the evolution direction of 6G key core technologies, solicit, evaluate and select a number of 6G key technology solutions with important directions, leading technologies and great application potential, mainly including: key basic research, new wireless technologies, new network technologies, new security technologies, industrial basic technologies and other 6G related technologies.
CTOnews.com understands that the Chinese Academy of Information and Communications said that the time period for the solicitation work is tentatively set for November 2022-December 2023, during which technical declaration can be made at any time. All parties at home and abroad are encouraged to actively declare the latest research results. The promotion team will regularly carry out technical evaluation and verification work to ensure that the collected technologies are "evaluated as they arrive and evaluated as they should be evaluated."
According to introduction, the recruitment work will adhere to the principle of openness and collaboration, and institutions of higher learning, scientific research institutes, scientific and technological enterprises and promotion organizations engaged in research in the field of information and communication at home and abroad are welcome to voluntarily apply for participation.
