CTOnews.com, Nov. 29, Blizzard Chinese officials released a video this afternoon, saying it was "a message recorded by John Hight of Blizzard World of Warcraft production team to World of Warcraft players."

John Hight, general manager of the Blizzard Warcraft production team, said in the video that he and all colleagues in the Warcraft team are extremely disappointed that the Warcraft series of games will suspend operations in China at the end of January next year.

John Hight pointed out that Chinese players have invested time and enthusiasm in the game over the past two decades, and they are beyond words to thank them for their love and support. "at present, we are making every effort to find a way to bring the game back to you."

Earlier, Blizzard said in a statement on November 17 that it would suspend most of its Blizzard game services on Chinese mainland because its existing licensing agreement with NetEase expires on January 23, 2023. Blizzard China said: "over the past 20 years, we have received love and support for Blizzard games through NetEase and other local partners, for which we are deeply grateful. Your enthusiasm and creativity will also continue to inspire us. We sincerely look forward to bringing Blizzard games back to you in the future."

CTOnews.com learned that Blizzard will stop gaming services run by Shanghai NetZhiyi Network Technology Development Co., Ltd. in Chinese mainland area, including "World of Warcraft", "hearthstone Legend", "Watch Pioneer", "Diablo III", "StarCraft II", "Warcraft III: remake", "Storm Hero" and so on, while "Diablo: immortality" will not be affected.
