John Stauffer will join Roblox as vice president of engineering. He has worked at Apple for more than 20 years and has been an executive for 14 years.
Tuyuan Pexels according to Axios, Stauffer was selected by Roblox after talking to "hundreds" of potential candidates over the past year to lead his engineering team. He will officially join the company next week.
CTOnews.com learned that Stauffer has been working at Apple for nearly 24 years. For the past 14 years, he has been the vice president of Apple Interactive Media Group (Interactive Media group), responsible for the core work of projects including CarPlay, Group FaceTime and AirPlay.
Stauffer will report to Daniel Sturman, Roblox's chief technology officer, who believes Stauffer's long tenure at Apple and decades of experience at tech giants should help the company.
