To better test the new features, Microsoft is about to launch the Insider project for Surface Duo

CTOnews.com, December 1, Microsoft has launched the Insider project for major products, including Windows, Office and Xbox, and the latest news says that Microsoft is expected to expand the project in the near future to include Surface Duo.

Gustave Monce, a Microsoft watcher, recently found a special "Surface Insider Program" page on a Surface Duo device with a layout similar to the way Windows users register for Windows Insider Program in the setup app.

CTOnews.com learned that Mons also found that users can register for different channels, similar to the Dev, Beta and Release Preview channels in the current Windows Insider project.

While Surface Duo and Duo 2 offer almost all Android experiences, Insider plans to help the company invite more users to test these features before releasing them to everyone. Android phone makers, including Samsung and one plus, have their own test plans to test new features before offering them to a larger user base. Microsoft's Duo devices seem to be moving in this direction.
