Google subsequently appealed the EU ruling. In September, Europe's second-highest court, the General Court of Justice of the European Union, ruled that Google abused its dominant position in the mobile search market, but reduced the fine to 4.125 billion euros (about $4.3 billion) from the previous 4.3 billion euros.
