The picture comes from FlickrWindows, the most popular operating system for desktop and laptop users, accounting for about 30 per cent of the global operating system market. This is one of the reasons why it has become the most common target of malware attacks.
CTOnews.com learned that 59.58 million new Windows malware samples were detected in the first three quarters of 2022, accounting for 95.6 per cent of the total number of new malware discovered during this survey.
In this survey, the number of new malware aimed at Linux was 1.76 million, accounting for 2.8%. In this survey, it is found that the number of new malware for Android systems is 938379, accounting for 1.5%. However, the number of new malicious programs aimed at macOS system is 8329, which is very low.
In the first three quarters of 2022, a total of 62.29 million new malware samples were detected, equivalent to about 228164 malware threats per day. However, there is also some good news.
