CTOnews.com, December 3, 2008. After months of testing, Microsoft officially launched Skype 8.90 today. All supported platforms, including Windows, Mac, Linux, Web, iPhone, Android, and iPad, have been updated.

CTOnews.com learned that Skype 8.90 introduced a number of new features, one of which is the ability to quickly access personal data by clicking on a user's name. The new version also simplifies the operation of new contacts, making it more convenient for users to save a phone number as a contact. IPhone and iPad Skype 8.90 also allow users to see pictures in notifications received by the lock screen interface.

Microsoft releases a new version of Skype every month to add new features, improvements and fixes. Microsoft will release another Skype update next month, introducing new features and fixes. If you want to test these new features ahead of time, you can add them to Skype's Insider project.
