Nokia will lead the German KOMSENS-6G project to integrate perceptual technology into communications systems

CTOnews.com, December 5 (Xinhua)-- Nokia recently announced that it will lead the KOMSENS-6G experimental project of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany. The project aims to promote global 6G standardization and focuses on network-aware technology.

KOMSENS-6G is part of the entire German 6G program, with a total investment of 14.9 million euros (currently about 110 million yuan) and is expected to last for three years. Nokia will work closely with industry partners, relevant experts, start-ups, research institutions and well-known universities. At the same time, Nokia also cooperates with other projects and institutions through the 6G German platform.

According to reports, in the 6G era, perception will be a key enabling technology to help achieve the vision of the integration of the digital and physical world. The perception service will be deeply integrated into the wireless network and run synchronously with the communication service. Nokia will play a leading role in front-end, baseband, RAN protocol, data processing, network security and other research and development to promote the realization of the 6G vision.
