The note points out that the subsidy policy for the purchase of new energy vehicles will end on December 31, 2022, after which countries of registered vehicles will no longer grant subsidies. In addition, the prices of major raw materials such as batteries have continued to rise sharply since 2022.

CTOnews.com learned that Dongfeng EV New Energy said that affected by the above two factors, Dongfeng EV New Energy will raise the official guidance price of all its models, which is expected to range from 7000 yuan to 9000 yuan. The specific price adjustment notice will be issued separately.

In addition, Dongfeng EV New Energy promises that users who make full payment and complete vehicle registration by December 31, 2022 will not be affected by the price adjustment.

According to Dongfeng Motor, sales of new energy vehicles reached 45672 in November, up 76.2 per cent from a year earlier. Among them, easy New Energy sold 11740 vehicles in November, an increase of 103.9% over the same period last year, while Pure Electric small SUV Nano BOX sold 6497 units, up 126% from the previous month.
