Microsoft launches Developer News extension for Visual Studio at a glance.
CTOnews.com, December 6, Microsoft today launched a new Developer News extension for Visual Studio to make it easier for users to quickly learn about software version changes, a developer's dynamics, and so on. This feature was previously available on Start Page in Visual Studio 2017, but Microsoft removed it in the new version.
After Visual Studio users install the extension, this option appears near the Solution Explorer. Users can click on the tab to get development-related news. If you don't need to know this, you can open the view and choose to turn Developer News on / off. You can also use a convenient keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + Alt + N.
CTOnews.com learned that in this Developer News, you can get news about Visual Studio, .NET, Azure, C++, DirectX, IoT, PowerShell, Python, SQL Server, Visual Studio Code, and so on.
