Google ADT-3 has been discontinued and is currently the only device that can run Android TV 13
CTOnews.com, December 6, ADT-3 has always been the preferred test platform for Android TV and Google TV developers, and is currently the only device that can run Android TV 13. After the official website was out of stock for several months, it was confirmed by foreign science and technology media that ADT-3 had stopped production.
CTOnews.com learned that the ADT-3 is Google's third developer device for developers, making it easy for developers to test their applications on the latest Android TV system. ADT-3 was released in January 2020 at a price of $79 and sold through its manufacturer Askey.
Askey has been selling ADT-3 for the past three years, but according to our research, the company's website has been out of stock in the past few months, possibly as early as the summer of 2021. With this in mind, it is obviously difficult for developers to obtain the device. However, Google's Android TV 13 and Google TV 13 developer preview versions are still available only for this device.
In the past month or two, Askey's ADT-3 online list has been transformed into a simple FAQ page that answers basic questions about the device. There is no mention of "out of stock" or more details about the device.
Foreign science and technology media 9to5Google has been officially confirmed by Askey that ADT-3 has stopped production and no longer continues to sell goods to other channels.
